Shawnte Washington has been involved in cheerleading for more than twenty years. She cheered for six years during middle and high school, where she discovered her passion for the sport. This passion led her to earn a cheer scholarship at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and a pom squad scholarship at Northeastern State University.

Since 2000, Shawnte has coached cheerleading at all levels, from youth and school cheer to all-star cheer and college cheer. She owned her all-star cheer gym for a decade, and for the past eleven years, she has been coaching at Atoka Public Schools.

In 2017, Coach Shawnte's team won the OSSAA Gameday STATE championship, a remarkable achievement that speaks to her dedication and hard work as well as her cheerleaders' efforts.

Currently, Coach Shawnte coaches both middle and high school cheer teams. These teams cheer for football and basketball games and compete in Cheer Game Day, which demands a great deal of skill and teamwork.
