Special shout out to one of our students!
Jackson Reilly, a senior guitarist at Atoka High School, has earned the honor of being selected to perform with the 2025 OkMEA “The Collective” honor group.
The Collective is an All-State music honor group for students to showcase their creativity and musical talent on instruments that aren’t seen in your typical high school band ensemble. Jackson went through a rigorous audition process where he had to compose and perform an original song as well as perform an improvised solo over a prerecorded backing track. Jackson is one of only fourteen students who were selected and one of four guitarists who were selected across the entire state of Oklahoma.
Through the month of December, Jackson will collaborate with the other musicians selected to create original music with a focus on creative expression in a variety of musical styles. He will perform at the 2025 Oklahoma Music Educators Association Conference in downtown Tulsa on January 17th, 2025. This is an incredible accomplishment and one of the highest individual honors given to musicians in Oklahoma.
Way to go Jackson!
